Entering the house through the wysteria-framed front door, you arrive directly into the kitchen. Here we have a selection of cupboards and work surfaces, double ceramic sink, a gas cooker with hob and a tall fridge-freezer.
Parties and events at The Foussais House have always been big affairs, and the kitchen has always coped admirably with everything we have (sometimes literally) thrown at it!
As with the rest of the ground floor, the kitchen has a ceramic tiled floor and plaster-boarded walls, so keeping it clean and decorating are both very easy. A door leads through to the Utility Room towards the back of the house, and an open doorway leads through to the Living Room (down a small step, so look out!).
